Hercules Tool LP was formed in 2017 from the union of three industry leaders in Manufacturing, Oilfield Tool Design and a Drilling Manager. This strategic integration delivers more than 80 years of combined industry experience and a proven track record of exceptional service.

This combination of expertise set the stage to design a New Technology in the Vertical Drilling Industry. With manufacturing expertise in the knowledge of creating stability, controlling vibration, advancing depth of cut would begin to set the stage. With in-depth design engineering experience in harmonics, axial forces, radial forces, drilling tool design, and Nasa inspired technology.

We have developed a new technology in the RMS MaxDrill that meets all these parameters. The RMS MaxDrill has and will continue to advance not only Vertical Drilling but this combined expertise has created other tools and processes to resolve challenges in the oil and gas industry.

Leadership Team

John Makar: President and founder of Hercules Tool. With over 40 years manufacturing experience in the oil and gas industry. John was Owner of Makar Industries manufacturing MWD products for Schlumberger, Baker and Halliburton before moving to Baker Inteq as a lead Manufacturing Engineer. After Baker Inteq, John became Vice-President of Extel precision Corp.

Duane Canny: Principal Engineer with over 35 years design experience in the oil and gas industry. Duane was the design engineer with TomoSeis an Acoustic Tomography wireline company before moving to Baker Inteq as an LWD / Nuclear project lead engineer. After Baker he managed the oil and gas division of a Midwest R&D company. Since that time, Duane has created innovated designs in MWD/LWD, borehole Acoustics, Horizontal Directional Drilling, Bio-Renewables and Earth Science Laboratory Equipment.

Troy Lynch: Drilling Manager / Mud with 10 years Drilling experience in the Haynesville and lower Oklahoma fields.
